This
delightful farmhouse encaptures all that typifies relaxed
Provencal living. With its spacious and luxurious living
areas and professional level kitchen, Mas des Cabedans
is set in a peaceful position amongst sunflower fields
on the edge of the beautiful “Parc National de Luberon”,
yet within a short drive of a large town.
Mas des Cabedans has been beautifully and elegantly
restored to a high standard by its new owners and encapsulates
all the charm and style of  this
sought after region. This traditional Provencal stone
farmhouse with its classic blue shutters, beamed ceilings
and limestone flooring will appeal to the most discerning
of guests. Beyond the charming outside eating area,
in the shade of an ancient lime tree, is the large heated
pool set amidst beautiful gardens and equipped with
luxurious teak loungers and deck chairs. There is also
a two-acre orchard/paddock, which provides a fantastic
recreational area.
 Inside,
the spacious breakfast/ kitchen opens onto the magnificent
sitting room from both ends. This wonderfully comfortable
and relaxing room with original open fireplace (logs
provided) is furnished with light, creamy fabrics exuding
an elegant atmosphere of space and light with large
French doors to the terrace.
A splendid stone archway leads to the dining area, also
furnished Provencal style with seating and dinner service
for up to fourteen people.
Upstairs, clients will love the fabulous 50m sq master
bedroom with luxurious bathroom and sitting area with
full-length windows overlooking
the gardens and mountains beyond. The bedrooms (mostly
en suite) and bathrooms throughout the house are spacious
and thoughtfully appointed and clients will love the
luxury of fine linen, towels and hairdryers.
Sleeping accommodation at Mas des Cabedans is divided
between the two ends of the house providing the further
comfort of privacy and independence for varying family/friend
combinations. We are thrilled with the addition of Mas
des Cabedans to our growing French programme this year
– the ideal holiday home in which to relax in this region
of mountains, gorges and lavender fields.
